श्री कमलेश कान्त नैथानी जी का जन्म उत्तखंड प्रदेश के एक शहर कोटद्वार के जशोद्धर पुर नामक ग्राम में 1967 ई. को हुवा l
बचपन से ही इन्हें संगीत में विशेष लगाव था l पुराने फ़िल्मी गीत और रामलीला में संगीत से सजी हुई रचनाओं से संगीत के प्रति आकषर्ण बढ़ता ही गया l कोटद्वार उस वक्त छोटा शहर था अतः संगीत शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के लिए l पहले देहरादून में गान्धर्व संगीत महाविद्यालय में गुरु जे. एल. मल्होत्रा जी से संगीत शिक्षा प्रारम्भ की तत्पश्चात गाज़ियाबाद के गान्धर्व संगीत महाविद्यालय में संगीत ऋषि डॉ विमला गुप्ता जी से शास्त्रीय संगीत की शिक्षा प्राप्त की l तथा श्री राम भारतीय कला केंद्र नई दिल्ली, से प्रसिद्ध कलाकार पद्मश्री श्रीमती शांति हीरानन्द जी से उपशास्त्रीय संगीत की शिक्षा प्राप्त की तथा समय -समय पर अनेक संगीत उसतादों, संगीत आचार्यों से भी जो ज्ञान मिला उसे भी अपने संगीत जीवन में उतरने की कोशिश की l
एक कलाकार को हमेशा अपने ज्ञान को सतत अभ्यास और मनन से बढ़ाते रहना चाहिए l अपने को हमेशा एक शिष्य ही समझना चाहिए l संगीत एक अथा सागर है l कई जन्मों और पुण्यों से एक कलाकार हर जन्म में कुछ न कुछ ज्ञान प्राप्त करता है l इसी प्रकार यात्रा चलती रहती है l
